Millicent Kittredge (M.K.) Blake (first name sometimes spelled Meliscent) (January 11, 1822 - November 27, 1907) was the sister of Francis Kittredge Shattuck and the wife of his business partner, George M. Blake. She established one of the first school for girls west of the Mississippi River, the Oakland Seminary for Young Ladies which was located in what is now the center of downtown Oakland.
After her death the heirs of the estate created the M.K. Blake Estate Company to manage her valuable commercial holdings. Six decades later the Oakland Redevelopment Agency purchased the original Blake property for the construction of the Oakland Convention Center.
