The Wilda Vale Tract was land that was part of the H.M. Sanborn Nursery near Piedmont Avenue, purchased from the Sanborns in 1906. 1,2 It was apparently to be named in honor of the daughter of Julia and Dr. William Hershiser. 4,5 The proposed Wilda Vale Tract name was never finalized and recorded, and the street known briefly as Wilda Vale Avenue off of Monte Vista Avenue was quickly renamed Wilda Avenue. 6,7,8
