The W. P. Williams Cycle Co. was a motorcycle and bicycle business in the early 1900s, from at least 1906-1916. It was run by Warren P. Williams, proprietor.
The 1906 directory lists Warren P. Williams at 469 - 9th Street, selling and repairing bicycles.
The 1911 directory lists its address as 228 - 12th Street 2 and featuring Excelsior Auto Cycles (i.e., motorcycles). The [historical] Oakland proud blog lists the 1916 address as 245-247 12th Street 1. In an undated photo showing the Oakland Motorcycle Club in front of the shop, the address is 240. Unclear if those were moves or address re-numberings.
By the 1924 directory, W. P. Williams Cycle had become W. P. Williams Auto Supply Co. at 245-247 - 12th Street. They sold "automobile supplies and auto camp equipment", as well as Goodyear tires.
