Vernon Rock-Ridge Hall

Vernon Rock-Ridge Hall was a meeting hall at 5515 College Avenue. The hall was built circa 1912 by Morris & Muller Company.
The original building was added on to and now houses the Rockridge Improvement Club. For many years, it was the home of Ye Old Hut, a neighborhood dive bar. From the outside, nothing is visible of the original building, but the framing can be seen inside.
The 1916 city directory lists the manager as C.B. Strong, and also lists the Vernon Rockridge Improvement Club at the address. 1
