Uptown Station is the new name for the HC Capwell Building at 1945-1955 Broadway. Uber announced on September 23, 2015 that they have bought the building from Lane Partners, 2 and the San Francisco Business Times has reported that the sales price was $123.5 million. 1 Lane Partners bought the building in Spring 2014 for just $25 million. 2000 to 3000 Uber employees are projected to work at Uptown Station when it opens in 2017.
