Uhuru Furniture & Collectibles has been providing the Grand Lake community with high quality, gently-used furniture and collectibles at affordable prices since 1989. All items are donated by the Bay Area community to benefit black self-determination programs of the African People's Education and Defense Fund (www.apedf.org). This beloved institution has thrived through the support and participation of tens of thousands of donors, shoppers and volunteers.

DONATE: All donations are tax deductible. Donate furniture, collectibles, pianos, estates, running vehicles and more. Pickup appointments are made in a one-hour time slot for the donor's convenience. Donors need not do any work because the friendly pickup team will remove the items.

SHOP: Each day's choice furniture selections are displayed out front and can be seen from across the street at the Grand Avenue Safeway. Inventory changes quickly. A wise treasure seeker will stop in regularly and/or check the furniture blog often (uhurufurniture.blogspot.com).

VOLUNTEER: A great way to show your community support and solidarity with African self-determination. The store is part of the nonprofit 501(c)(3) APEDF so volunteers wishing to fulfill community service obligations are welcome.
