The Lighted Candle was a gift shop at 4066 Piedmont Avenue. In 1939, it was run Mrs. K. M. Plant. 2
The 1939 listing says "gifts, novelties, etc.". A 2009 newsletter says the owner also had a small lending library for women. "However, she would not lend certain books to young women because she thought they were too risqué!" 1
The gift shop was across Piedmont Avenue from the Key System station, just down from the branch library. A sign advertising the gift shop can be seen in some photos of the streetcar station.
