The S&W Building at 3rd and Alice Streets was built in 1927 for Sussman, Wormser, and Company. The company is better known as S&W Premium Food, which was acquired by Del Monte in 2007.
The building was constructed in 1927 by F.A. Muller. 1 A nearby historical sign for the Waterfront Warehouse District calls it the Davis-Parker Warehouse, and says it was built on speculation by developers Hyman Davis and M. Parker.
