Community Rejuvenation Project has painted the entire building of the People's Grocery with murals. They have a giant gallery here. The murals feature all kinds of historical figures like Jimi Hendrix, Angela Davis, as well as local Oaklanders and nature scenes. Part of the mural says "Voice of the Ghetto."
The Madre Maiz mural is on one side of the building.
The building is on Market between 6th and 7th. You can see some of the murals from BART east of the West Oakland stop.
