Oakland Digital Arts & Literacy Center (ODALC or Oakland Digital, for short) works to empower underserved communities (primarily small businesses and aspiring graphic design students) in Oakland by providing them the skills and tools needed to be successful in the digital economy. They offer several programs to reach their goal of providing professional development to design students (Inspire program) and providing small businesses with the education and digital tools to succeed in the 21st century (Digital Equity program). Oakland Digital is involved in a partnership with the East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation titled the Digital Economic Development Initiative where they provide direct services to tenants (digital literacy, eMarketing, etc.) of EBALDC owned buildings. Oakland Digital also provides affordable facility/computer rentals and are open to partnerships.
In 2015, Oakland Digital was the recipient of the East Bay Innovation Award in the Education category.
