On Sunday March 15, 2015, the Eastside Arts Alliance is hosting a block party at 44th and International Blvd to celebrate 50 years of the Black and Chicano Arts movements.
The party will be held from 12-5pm.
It is a free family event. There will be activities for kids, entertainment, art, food, vendors and a car show.
A mural was painted during this party on 44th below International in Melrose by Dime, Miguel "Bounce" Perez and Trust Your Strugle. The mural includes a jaguar with a Zapatista figure in his mouth, a shell, "Power to the people," a person in profile and some colorful geometric people.
