Montclair is a district in the Oakland Hills, noted for narrow, winding streets, lots of trees, and Montclair Village.
Although there is a neighborhood on the Greenstreets map labeled Montclair, more often Montclair is used to refer to the larger district including Montclair, Montclair Village, Piedmont Pines, Shepherd Canyon, Forestland, Merriewood, Glen Highlands, and frequently including Joaquin Miller Park and the nearby East Bay Regional Parks, Redwood Regional Park, Sibley Volcanic Regional Preserve, and Huckleberry Botanic Regional Preserve.
It contains two retail areas, Montclair Village (usually just called "the village") and Thornhill Drive, but is mostly residential.
