McKee, Tashiera and Wahrhaftig was a law firm founded in 1904 with offices in the Oakland Bank of Savings Building. The principals were Samuel Bell McKee, Jr., Arthur G. Tashiera, Matt Wahrhaftig. It started with McKee and Tashiera; Wahrhaftig joined about 1915. 2 Ridley D. Stone was a partner in 1938. 3 There are references to the law firm as late as 1968.
McKee had been a California Supreme Court Justice.
Arthur Tashiera was the husband of Helen Garthwaite Tashiera, daughter of W. W. Garthwaite, who was president of the Oakland Bank of Savings.
Matt Wahrhaftig was the husband of famed photographer Alma Lavenson.
