Mama's Royal Cafe is a fun and friendly place for breakfast, lunch or brunch. The restaurant has been a neighborhood staple for years...since 1974!
Expect long lines on the weekends around brunch time but the food is well worth the wait! The wait staff have a definite hipster vibe and they are cash only. There is an annual highly contested napkin art competition that decorates the walls thanks to a local art school as well as a collection of Mama's aprons through the years.
Mama's Royal Cafe was the recipient of the East Bay Express Best Breakfast/Brunch Readers' Poll Award in 2014 and 2015.
