Lockwood School on International Blvd. (East 14th) near 68th Avenue dates back to 1858, started by Isaac Yoakum. Over the years, the campus has included Lockwood Elementary School and Lockwood Junior High School (which was later known as Havenscourt Junior High School.) Today the campus is home to the Coliseum College Prep Academy (6-12), Lockwood Steam Academy (TK-5), and the Martin Luther King, Jr. Branch Library.
The school district was formed in 1860, with Yoakum, Lockwood, and LaGrange as the trustees. It started in a farmhouse, and by 1892 had grown into a 3-room school. 2,3

1912 Sanborn excerpt
Charles H. Greenman was principal from at c.1900 until his death in 1919 following the rescue of two students from a grass fire.
In 1913, architect John J. Donovan announced a new building would be constructed. The 1925 Sanborn labels the new building as Lockwood Junior High School. The 1902 school building is still standing.
The 1950 Sanborn map shows the addition of another building labeled Lockwood Jr. High, and c.1913 building is labeled Lockwood Elementary School, and the 1902 building has been demolished.
The current buildings were dedicated in 1954. The article about the dedication notes that the ceremony had to be held next door at what was then known as Havenscourt Junior High School because they didn't yet have an auditorium.
