In 2008 La Placita Commercial Kitchen open the doors in the Fruitvale District to help grow more than 300 mobile & micro businesses within Oakland and the entire East Bay. La Placita is family owned and run by Emilia Otero and her children: they provide multi-use commercial kitchen space & technical support to new and existing entrepreneurs in the mobile food and catering industry.
