Jefferson School is an elementary school between 39th and 40th Avenues near Carrington Street. The campus is currently home to the Global Family Elementary School and Learning Without Limits, with transitional kindergarten through 5th grade. The original school was built in 1913 and opened in 1914. That was replaced in 1960 with the current structures.

The original building was designed by John J. Donovan and Washington J. Miller. The initial plans called for two enclosed courtyards. 3 Bids for construction went out in October 1913, and it was completed in January 1914. It was originally referred to as Dewey School, but after a petition, the school board OKed the change to Jefferson School. (The Dewey name stayed with the school at 37th Avenue and E12th Street, which is now ASCEND. Now the name is used by Dewey High School.)
