The Information Headquarters for Service Men was a building in city hall plaza, then known as Memorial Plaza, from 1941 until 1955. It was built to be a hospitality house for servicemen for the duration of the "national emergency" and was dedicated November 11, 1941, less than a month before the U.S. entered WWII. 2
It was also known as the "Adobe Hut." 3
The building was demolished in April 1955. 3
