Hardy's Book Store (originally W.B. Hardy or W.B. Hardy's Book and Stationery Store) was a long-time book and stationery business. It was started by William B. Hardy, and later run by some of his children. For many years, the book store was at 915 Broadway (959 and 961 Broadway before 1912 renumbering) in the Delger Block.
Hardy had previously been with Bamber & Company, express and news agents, and operated out of their Oakland office until 1869 when he sold his interest to focus on bookselling.

Hardy's closed in 1944. The article about the closing says W.B. Hardy started in 1856 selling stationery and magazines at Bamber. While various of the Hardy children worked there over the years, the article says it was run by Charles G. Hardy until his death in 1932, when his son Grahame Hardy took over. For the last of its 5 years, it was owned by Leslie Belling. 1
