BIO
HH Watson was a marine surveyor. He lived at 26th and Broadway.3
Watson was an early public transportation fanatic, riding the ferry daily from Oakland to San Francisco. In 1912, Watson was featured in the San Francisco Call in a story about ferry commuters and was nominated as one of the oldest and most frequent ferry riders: he had been taking the ferry daily for 40 years. In fact, since he rested on the 7th day, and thus his tokens went to waste, he estimated that he had wasted 2,080 round trip ferry trips and that Southern Pacific owed him $208.4
