The Gifford Apartments are on College Avenue, but with the entrance on Ocean View Drive. They were built for Charles L. Gifford, and date back to at least 1914.
The commercial spaces are at 5634-5636 College, and the entrance to the apartments is at 5608 Ocean View Drive.
The 1950 Sanborn map says there are 14 units.
