The Fredrick Apartments are at 530-536 - 41st Street. Part of the 3-story apartments were constructed beginning in 1908 and the rest in 1910 for owner Hyman Fredrick. NB: some records spell his name Frederick; likewise the apartments are sometimes listed as the Frederick Apartments.
The builders contract listed in the Tribune indicates the contractor was L.W. Blake, and the architect was Alfred Legault, 1 though another article suggests Legault was the builder. 2 When the annex was built in 1910, the apartments included wall beds. 4
Hyman Fredrick was living at the apartments when he died suddenly in 1929. 5
