Food King is a neighborhood grocery store located at 8824 International Blvd. in East Oakland. The store first opened in January of 1961. 1
Inside, they have a meat counter, Food King Meats, with a separate till.
Owners are from Yemen, yet you can't find pita bread in-store.
The building was originally the Granada Theatre.
