The First Trust and Savings Bank - American Bank Building was built in 1913-1914 for the First Trust and Savings Bank; in1922, it changed its name to the American Bank. Today the building is known as the Westlake Building. It is located at 1540-50 San Pablo Avenue / 521-63 - 16th Street.
The building was designed by Llewellyn Dutton and built by P.J. Walker. 1 It opened in May 1914.
