Frederick Alfred (“F.A.”) Muller (February 6, 1875 – June 22, 1943) was a contractor and builder, who constructed several notable buildings in Oakland.

Muller was born in Missouri, and his family moved to Oakland in 1881. His younger brothers, Ernest and Carl, ran Muller Brothers, a pickle and vinegar company. Frederick's WWI draft card lists him as the manager of the cannery.

He married Alice L. Fagan (Muller) (1872 – 1914) in 1904, and they had 3 children: Alfred Francis Muller (1906 – 1906), Ruth Margaret Muller (White) (1908 – 1996), and Helen Mary Muller (Medanich) (1910 – 1999). Alfred died when he was 9 months old. Alice died a few years later in 1914. Muller then remarried, to Mercedes Howell (Muller) (1894 – 1937), and they had one child, Frederick Alfred Muller, Jr. (1919 – 2008).

c.1910 - c.1913, Muller was business partners with H.C. Morris. Muller had an office in the Realty Syndicate Building.

Muller died in 1943. He and Mercedes are interred in Mountain View Cemetery. Alice and Alfred are buried in St. Mary's Cemetery, as are Ruth and her husband.
