East Bay Alliance Church was founded by Rev. Philip Loh in 1975 in Piedmont, California, before relocating to Berkeley. Currently, the church has made Oakland, California their current home in the Lower Hills neighborhood.
The church building was built in 1923 as St. Stephens Methodist Episcopal Church.
