Description	Mission Statement: We believe the entire community must be actively engaged to ensure the success of Oakland students. In collaboration with families and communities, the Department of Student, Family and Community Services will develop and promote the talents of Oakland youth as full partners to lead positive change efforts and create policies that support safe, healthy and just environments. The Department of Student, Family and Community Services will develop and assist in maintaining support programs that foster the academic achievement of all students.
