The Coit Hotel was completed and opened in 1925, and is located at 1445 Harrison Street at the corner of 15th Street.
The building was designed by architect Leonard Ford. Maxwell Hardware provided the fittings It was operated in conjunction withe nearby Hotel Harrison and Harrison Apartments. 2
According to historic advertisements, the Coit Hotel had "Sensible Rates." A room with private bath cost $2 for one person, $2.50 for two people and $3.50 for twin beds, while a room with detached bath was $1.50 for one person and $2 for two people.
Sarah Jane "Sadie" Greathead operated the Harmony Cafeteria in the Coit Hotel for many years.
It is currently the Davis-Coit Apartments.
