"City Camps" are UNconferences that aim to bring organizations, independent actors, citizens / residents, and city governments (staff and elected officials) together to improve the functioning of the city, especially through the opportunities of Open Government, Government 2.0, and Open Source tools.

The first City Camp Oakland was an held on Dec. 1st, 2012 that brought together members of the Oakland tech community, city government, and community members to improve Oakland. Lunch was provided by Tina Tamale, a local family Mexican food pop-up and catering business. Yum!
