Chryst House 1
Chryst House is an amazing storybook-style house at 1600 Fernwood Drive in Montclair. It was built c.1930 for William F. Chryst and his family.
It was designed and built by Carr Jones. Although he was not an architect, he studied with Bernard Maybeck for a time. 2
On July 8, 1986 the Chryst House was designated Oakland Landmark #LM 86-37.
