The Cathedral of Christ the Light (also known as the Oakland Cathedral) is the cathedral of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Oakland.
After some controversy about the location, the cathedral was built as a replacement for the Cathedral of Saint Francis de Sales which was damaged in the Loma Prieta earthquake. Construction was completed in 2008, and dedicated September 25, 2008.
The cathedral includes a mausoleum underneath.
