The CSAA (California State Automobile Association) Building is at 399 Grand Avenue, on the southwest corner of Grand and Staten Avenues. It was built in 1927 and designed by Reed and Corlett. CSAA moved out of the building in 1967, and the building was advertised as prime office space. 2 In September of 1968, a chain called Tia Maria opened a restaurant in the building. 3
