The C.H. King Building is at the northwest corner of 12th St. and Harrison in the King Block. It was built in 1904 for Charles H. King. When completed, the upper floors were used for the Polytechnic College.

The building was designed by A.W. Smith. M. Carroll did the brick, concrete, and iron work, and the carpentry was done by Ben O. Johnson, L.G. Burpee, and William Ingram. 1,2

The building includes the addresses 300-310 - 12th St. and 1201 Harrison.

The building suffered damage in the 1906 earthquake.

A fire in 1911 damaged the building, and badly damaged or destroyed several buildings on the block. 4
