If you aren't familiar with Burmese food, visit this restaurant right now. Burma Superstar is a trendy food joint that truly lives up to the hype. It is always busy, so try to go at an off time, like right when it opens at 5 pm, unless you want to wait for 30 minutes or more.

Must try at least once, if not every time you go:
- Tea Leaf Salad (ask for it Vegetarian if you don't want fish sauce)
- Fried Yellow Bean Tofu
Good seasonal selection of beer on draft. Decent wine list and interesting cocktails.
Very accommodating. Many dishes can be made vegetarian or vegan. Servers have good recommendations based on what you tell them you feel like.
Started in San Francisco's Richmond district. Recently opened in Oakland. Quickly became an established feature of the Temescal district's food scene.
