Brighton C. "Bugs" (BC) Cain was a naturalist who worked for the Oakland Boy Scouts from 1919 until 1950. Inside the Rotary Nature Center are some of BC Cain’s bug collections that were once located in the famed "Bug House" at the Camp Dimond scout camp (just south of Montclair Village.)
The BC Cain library in the Nature Center once held Cain's extensive collection of nature books and personal diagrams. A large painting of BC Cain hangs in the library and was commissioned by his friends in Scouting.
Cain was trained at Stanford.
