There are numerous Apartment Buildings around Oakland of all sizes. Some date back to the 1920s and 1930s, and a few even earlier than that. And many have interesting building names.

A good reference for named apartments from the 1920s and 1930s is the 1935 directory, which has several pages of them listed.

Many of the apartment buildings constructed in the 1920s and 1930s included wall beds as a way of saving space.
