469 Van Buren was a home built for Dr. Henry S. Kergan in 1911, designed by Charles W. McCall. 1

[ NB: The 1913 directory lists Henry, James, John, and William Kergan as physicians. And Wesley Kergan as a lawyer. Unclear how they're all related, but Wesley and John are both listed at 216 Lake Shore. ]

The home was demolished at some point. A 1966 classified lists the apartment building that's there now as "just opened". 2
