The "Anansi" Sculpture is a large, steel sculpture near the Oakland Museum of California. It was created in 1974 by Henry Rollins, with a grant from The Women's Board and the National Endowment for the Art. 1

Anansi is a large spider character in West African folklore, a trickster like the coyote in some Native American cultures. While the sculpture doesn't look much like a spider, it does have 8 arms.
